The ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Schools Office (CSO) and its schools serve the community of the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle and make up a large, valuable and vital part of the mission of the church. The geographical area extends from Lake Macquarie to Taree and as far inland as Merriwa and Murrurundi covering territory of approximately 150,000 ¹ú²úÊÓƵs in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

Across the Diocese, there are 38 parishes. These parishes are the centres of the life of the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Church in our communities. There are many activities, which form the mission of the church, in our region, some of these include:

¹ú²úÊÓƵCare Hunter-Manning which delivers a wide range of social services including foster care, food programs, counselling, and support to refugees and asylum seekers.

The Rosewood Centre supports people in our community to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The specialist team provide counselling, clinical assessments, and behaviour support in eight locations across our region.

St Nicholas, who support families across early education, out of school hours care and offering vocational education and training needs.

Pastoral ministries support the faith development in our diocese through the office of life and faith, family and community faith, liturgy, and Aboriginal ministry.

The ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Schools Office is responsible for the leadership, operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 20,000 students in 59 schools across Primary, Secondary and one comprehensive K-12 school in the diocese.Ìý
